| MIX BAR READING WINS BEST NEW BAR LONDON AND SOUTH REGIONAL FINALS OF THE THEME BAR AND RESTAURANT AWARDS 2008 |
| Mix Bar Reading is celebrating winning the title of Best New Bar at the London and South regional finals of the Theme Bar and Restaurant Awards 2008, beating six other shortlisted nominees including Haus Bar in Bristol and Pinchito and The Loft, both in London. Mix was also shortlisted in the Best Interior Design category. Since Mix Bar Reading opened in July 2007, following Mix Bar Winchester (which opened June 2007), owners Tristan & Laura Ransley have been featured in The Observer future 500 exceptional people for 2008, and last year, Sunday Times rated Mix as one of the UKs Top 6 bars. Tristan Ransley is delighted at the win: 'I'm totally overwhelmed to be in the final category of Best New Bar. I'm so proud of my teams in both Reading and Winchester and whether we win in the National finals in June or not, I'm over the moon that we've been recognised in this way. I'd also like to thank Theme magazine for their support, as well as our loyal supporters in both towns.'
